Manual upgrades of Drupal core are more time-consuming and error-prone than need be. svn vendor branches can help, but it's still not perfect.

The guys at Chapter Three recently detailed how they do Drupal core upgrades with a shell script and the find command. This has a couple of drawbacks.

The AJAX translation script that I made available last time has now been officially released as a Drupal module called Translatable Comments. It is compatible with 5.x and 6.x versions of Drupal core.

Update: I've completed a Drupal module that will make all comments on your site translatable using the API. You can download it from the Attachment section below.

Update II: It is now official Drupal module.

Today, Google released their AJAX Language API.
